Remote Session Drummer | MIDI Drums/Programmed Drums for $125

I'm Mart Evans, a drummer originally from London and now based in Philadelphia. I've been behind the kit for forty years and working remotely for the last five. I specialise in recording live-played MIDI drum tracks for artists, bands and producers who want the feel of a real drummer with the flexibility of MIDI.

With the drums, my job is to listen to what the music is telling me and shape a part that supports the story without getting in the way. I believe a well-written song is like the North Star. If you follow it and stay true to it, then you should end up where you need to be.

Musically, that approach feels at home in rock, pop-rock, indie, Americana, folk and singer-songwriter material, and carries through into hard rock, prog, and the darker end of post-punk and gothic rock.

I’ve recorded for artists including Tim Renwick (Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton), Alex Catchings, Steve Donnelly (Sheryl Crow, Nick Lowe), and Henry Louris, played on tracks produced by Ruslan Sirota (Chick Corea, Josh Groban), and shared sessions with Phil Keaggy, Iain Hornal (ELO, 10cc), and Mike Waldron (Martina McBride, Lee Ann Womack), amongst others.

Every performance is played live. No programming, no loops. I’ll send you a few takes to choose from, and we can make any changes from there.

You'll receive clean MIDI plus mix-ready multitrack audio, so you can use my kit sounds or your own samples. Delivery is within two days. Two revisions are included.
