I’m Mart Evans. Originally from the UK and now based in Philly, I deliver organic, live-tracked MIDI drums for artists and producers who need the flexibility that MIDI offers but with the experience and feel that only a real drummer can bring. I've been playing for almost 40 years and started remote work in 2021.

I cut my teeth in the pubs and clubs of South East London. Since then, I've had a varied career behind the kit, spending decades working in just about every musical situation imaginable.

My recent client list includes Norwegian darkwave outfit Long Night, Mike Lawson & Friends (featuring Phil Keaggy), and the Celtic World Orchestra, appearing on tracks with Iain Hornal and Fiona Joy Hawkins. I also work with Gary DeMichelle and emerging songwriters like Henry Louris and Alex Catchings.

While my roots are in Rock and Pop, I’m versatile and open to most genres. The one constant, no matter the style, is that I serve the song.
