I'm Mart Evans, a drummer originally from London and now based in Philadelphia. I've been behind the kit for forty years and working remotely for the last five. I specialise in recording live-played MIDI drum tracks for artists, bands and producers who want the feel of a real drummer with the flexibility of MIDI.

I’m a song drummer. I like to sit with a piece of music, respond to what it’s telling me, and shape a part that supports the story without getting in the way. A well-written song usually points the way. I’m there to listen and help it move.

Rock and pop are my bread and butter, and my song-first mindset carries through Americana, indie, hard rock, prog, and the darker end of post-punk and gothic rock.

Every performance is played live. No programming, no loops, no AI. I'll send you takes to audition, and we'll refine the part from there until it sits exactly where it needs to.

You'll receive clean MIDI, plus mix-ready multitrack audio if required, so you can use my kit sounds or your own samples. Light percussion is included whenever the song calls for it. Project rates and rush delivery are available.

For audio, I work primarily with Superior Drummer 3, alongside Steven Slate, Addictive Drums, GGD, boutique libraries from Jake Reed and Aaron Sterling, and a large collection of one-shots and custom samples. If you have a sound in mind, there’s a good chance I can find it.
