I'm Mart Evans, a drummer originally from London and now based in Philadelphia. I've been behind the kit for forty years and working remotely for the last five. I specialise in recording live-played MIDI drum tracks for artists, bands and producers who want the feel of a real drummer with the flexibility of MIDI.

I'm a song drummer. I believe a well-written song is like the North Star. If you follow it and stay true, then you should end up where you need to be. With the drums, my job is to react to what it's telling me and shape a part that supports the story without getting in the way.

Rock and pop are my bread and butter, and my song-first mindset carries through Americana, indie, hard rock, prog, and the darker end of post-punk and gothic rock.

Every performance is played live. No programming, no loops, no AI. I'll send you takes to audition, and we'll refine the part from there until it sits exactly where it needs to.

You'll receive clean MIDI, plus mix-ready multitrack audio if required, so you can use my kit sounds or your own samples. Light percussion is included whenever the song calls for it. Project rates and rush delivery are available. All my work here is work for hire.
