I'm Leonardo Álvarez, an international Yamaha and Vic Firth artist, drummer, and educator from Argentina with over 25 years of experience performing and recording across a wide range of musical genres: tango, Latin folk, jazz, rock, pop, and beyond. My playing is deeply rooted in tradition but always driven by creativity and the unique energy of each project.

As a performer, I’ve contributed to more than 40 studio albums and participated in acclaimed musical theater productions such as Maria de Buenos Aires by Astor Piazzolla and Eva, the Argentine Musical with Nacha Guevara and Alberto Favero. My versatility and dedication to musicality have earned me recognition in both the recording and live performance scenes.
