Upright and Electric Bass tracking for $75

My name is Jermaine Paul and I have been playing Upright bass for 9 years, with 5 years electric bass experience. I am primarily trained in jazz, with many years also doubling in classical. Below is a little insight on my recording gear and process, I am very excited to work with you!

For Upright Bass commissions:
I play a 4 string Upright (Lemur Music) with D'Addario Helicore strings
I use a MXL V67 large diaphram condenser for recording,
Focusrite studio 2i2 for tracking,
Waves Plugins ( Q10, Renaissance EQ, OneKnob products) for post editing and mixing.

For Electric Bass:
I have two primary basses that serve me well in any genre.
A 5 string Fender Jazz Mexican Bass, with D'Addario Hi-Beams,
and a 6 string Harley Benton Hybrid with D'Addario Hi-Beams.
These can either be recorded through a GK 210 II Amp,
or straight into my Focusrite 2i2.

I work in a home studio with Event 20/20 monitors for mixing and playback, and I offer mixing for my own bass tracks!
I have extensive experience in the LA gigging scene for jazz, and Hip-Hop bass experience as well, live and recorded.

Working with me entails a detailed contact period, phone or video, where we can go over the vision and prepared plan for the project. This segment usually includes questions on the form of the song, the chord progression, which sections need bass, intensity of playing, and whether or not there are any solos. Questions of format are also asked here, such as preferred method of receiving stems, and whether or not there will be large sections of looped bass that I can record and augment for variety.

Next, I set out to record. With my schedule, I have many hours of downtime in between gigs and performances that I like to fill with normal life things. When asked to do a project, I clear a portion of that time to complete. The project would take a week at the most to complete, as I'll make time for the request after it is sent.

I am excited to hear your vision come to fruition! So revisions aren't especially a problem to me. I tend to offer a lot of material on the first take as well, so most often than not there's very little revision needed. If the song is very particular and I'm just not quite scratching that itch, I'm willing to go back and forth up to 5 times to make it happen for you. Past that point we can talk some more (Not saying I'll do more,,,, but kinda saying I'll do more :))
