Budget Friendly Mixing for $250

Hi there! My name is Chris and I LOVE music. I especially love the music creation process and mixing is a big part of that. Over the past twenty-five years I have been a professional musician, either in a band, as an artist, or behind the scenes in the studio. I grew up in the punk/indie scene of Orange County, California were the DIY ethos was pounded into my brain. I've worked in major recording studios on major label budgets, and I've recorded in makeshift bedroom studios with an audio-interface and an old computer. My experience runs the gamut, but my passion is seeing artists bring their projects to life (mine included). I'm a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and singer and my focus is always on serving the song and bringing the best bits forward.

As a mixer, I've mostly mixed my own projects and songs for artists I'm producing, which is why I'm setting my rate low to start. I'm interested in working with bands/artists who are getting started and need some extra guidance and direction...so a bit of a producer as well as mix engineer.

As far as gear, I work almost entirely in the box, within Logic Pro X (which I've used since Logic Express 7 back in the early 00's) and I use a wide range of plugin's from UAD, Waves, FabFilter etc. to get the job done. I also like to run sounds through guitar pedals and finish the mix off through an RNLA bus compressor to get some extra iron on the tracks.

I'm willing to do a trial mix of a verse/chorus for you to "try before buying", if that suits you. As far as revisions go, I try to keep it to two. The first revision is as much as you can give think of, and the second revision will be final tweaks. I find that after two revisions, we start to go in circles and it get's worse.

If you need audio editing (vocal tuning, instrument timing etc.) it will be an extra $10 per track that needs it (ie. 5 drum tracks and two vocals = $70 extra)
