Mixing for $750

I offer artistic mixing for a range of projects, and my main focus is to elevate the music, creating custom sonic spaces that support the song.

I mix in a hybrid setup that I developed over the years and on which I have mixed the Grammy-Winning Fantastic Negrito albums.

I come out of 32 analog outputs and go into my Burl Vancouver summing mixer, then I have a stereo NightproQ 3D EQ and a Superstereo (SSL type) compressor, after this I go into a Neve 33609 Compressor/Limiter and then back to my Lynx Hilo for A/D conversion.

That's my analog 2-bus chain, but the most important part of my setup is my monitoring path, which consists of Mayer HD-1 Monitors fed by the Lynx Hilo A/D conversion. And this is hosted in a really well placed listening sweetspot in a consciously treated room so I can hear exactly what I need and be confident that I will translate incredibly well anywhere else you play the mix.

- Last but not least, before I commit to any mixing project, I ask to listen to the music and the rough mixes and get a little more background on the project and production. I want to know how it was made, how you want it to sound, and I want to make sure all the necessary ingredients are there so I can really take it to the next level.

Being a producer and arranger myself besides a mixer gives me a really broad perspective on the music and production and allows me to provide you with useful feedback based on may years of experience.

I love to create imaginary sonic spaces for songs to live in. It’s sort of like painting with sound. I always like to say that I like to find that place in between the natural and the supernatural.

A good mix that supports an incredible song has the ability to make us feel through the speakers. It’s not easy. But it’s a beautiful challenge that takes us on a journey.
