Hardanger fiddle, fiddle and violin - remote recordings for $125
I am a professional hardanger fiddle player and violinist based in Oslo, Norway. The hardanger fiddle, national folk instrument of Norway, has a distinct resonating sound that is becoming more and more popular across the world in genres such as folk music, pop/rock and film music, for its quality of being very recognizable and versatile at the same time.
I have been playing the fiddle for 20 years. I am a classically trained violinist (I graduated from the conservatoire of Torino, Italy) as well as a professionally trained folk musician with a master's degree in Nordic folk music from the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm and the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. I have been touring extensively with different folk bands across Europe and USA, especially as an Irish fiddle player, in which style I have specialized for about ten years now.
I am available for distance recording on both the hardanger fiddle and regular fiddle/violin. I am able to quickly sight-read and learn parts from sheet music, as well as learning by ear. I am also comfortable improvising melody lines, second voices, accompanying lines and chords in the Nordic or Irish folk music style.
