Organic and Creative Electric/Acoustic Guitar Player, Excellent Studio + Gear, Bill Frissel, Mark Knopfler, Hammock for $250 for $250

Hi, my name is Pete Morse and also the owner of Red Vault Audio. I'm a multi-instrumentalist playing guitar, bass and mandolin however guitar is my primary instrument. I'm the lead guitarist in The Pete Kilpatrick Band, Native Isles and Connor Garvey here in Portland, Maine and encourage to check out these bands on whatever music service you use (Spotify, Tidal, etc). I've actually done the production and mixing as well. I've shared the stage with members of Dave Matthews Band, Pearl Jam, and Blues Traveler and been playing most of my life. In addition to playing music I also run a studio in Portland called Red Vault Audio specializing in a wide range of audio applications.

I produce here at my studio and often record guitar for various artists. I'm able to record great sounding guitar tracks here through a lot of beautiful equipment. While I play both acoustic and electric guitar I tend to gravitate more towards electric as that's what I play in most of the bands I'm in. Some of my guitar hero's are Bill Frisell, Mark Knopfler, Daniel Lanois and David Gilmore. I like to think I'm a very thoughtful player who can bring new ideas to the table that are unique and most importantly help the songs vibe.

I have a great sounding room and will record with 2 mics on the cab (which will be time aligned) and a room mic. If additional tracks are needed we can work something out. For gear, my main guitar is a semi hollow body AO guitar that is super versatile. I also own a custom strat, P-Bass and mandolin. For amplification I use a Fuchs ODS-II with a Port City Wave 2x12 cab, a hand wired Fender Twin and a boutique amp made by Synaptic Amps. Got a bunch of pedals too.

For the recording chain I use excellent ribbon, condenser and dynamic mics (such as a Shure KSM-353 ribbon and Lawson L47MPII) clean/vibey preamps (Great River, Millenia and API)and finally through top of the line converters (Crane Song HEDD Quantum, Apogee Symphony MKII) If you have specific gear questions please let me know.

I will record 1 pass through to see if we're on the right track. Once I'm given some feedback I'll do a second more finalized pass. Once that direction has been given I will also provide more of an improv pass , texture or whatever. After the rhythm track and the improv tracks are delivered I will do one pass of revisions. So 3 passes of revisions.
