I’m Joseph Alton Miller, an award-winning singer/songwriter and recording artist offering professional vocal tracking for your songs. I record from my personal studio using professional gear chosen for clarity and warmth: Warm Audio CX12 tube microphone, Ear Trumpet Labs Edwina, Warm Audio WA44 ribbon, Shure Beta 57, and Shure SM81. My preamps include the Focusrite ISA One and Warm Audio WA12, running through an SSL12 interface. I record into Logic Pro. I work in a quiet, acoustically treated room designed for clean, detailed vocal recording.

My sound fits naturally within folk, Americana, indie, and singer/songwriter genres, though I can adapt for pop, rock, or alternative projects. I’ve released multiple studio and live albums exploring themes of love, grief, and resilience, with radio play and regional recognition. Every track I record carries that same level of honesty and emotion.

Here’s how the process works: You’ll provide a rough mix or instrumental track (WAV or MP3), lyrics and melody (or guide vocal), and any notes on tone, phrasing, or feel. I’ll record up to two complete takes of the lead vocal — one main and one alternate — along with optional double-tracking and up to two harmony parts if requested. Vocals are delivered as 24-bit WAV files, dry and unprocessed unless you prefer a lightly mixed version. All takes are professionally comped and lightly edited for timing and pitch while keeping the performance natural and expressive.

One rounds of revisions are included in the base price to ensure phrasing, tone, or delivery are exactly how you want them. Full retakes or additional revisions can be added for a small extra fee. Typical turnaround time is three to five days, depending on the complexity of the song.
