Professional Flutist for $100
Flutist Barbara Rizek-McGuckin earned her Bachelors in Music from Hunter College and did graduate work at the Conservatory at Brooklyn College. Her flute teachers include Gerardo Levy, Trudy Kane and Laura Gilbert, and she has been a participant in masterclasses with Geoffrey Gilbert, William Bennet, Robert Stallman, Julius Baker and Pat Spencer. She has played with the Hunter College Symphony, Regina Opera Company, Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra and Newburgh Symphony, and is currently a member and manager of The Hudson View Trio and Arabesque Trio. She has completed recording projects with composers Richard Schulman, Terry Champlin and producer Scott Petito. The Arabesque Trio released the full length CD “Reverie” in 2007. She has performed in concerts at Harkness Park Rutgers Summer Fest with Violinist Midori, the 92nd Street Y, and faculty concerts at Mannes College of Music and Vassar College. Upon graduation she performed solo recitals annually in New York City at various concert halls including CAMI Hall.
