Male baritone vocals. Experienced. Berklee trained. Voice smooth to aggressive. Custom built for blues, soul, Billy Idol like rock! High end gear. for $75
Experienced Berklee Trained Vocalist with High-End Gear. Soul, Blues, Country, Folk, Soft Rock, Rock, Ballads. Baritone: E2-C5, multiple octaves into some tenor range (baritone sounds the best usually, but not always). Rock, Pop, Soul, Country . Listen to the samples please. I can sing growling glottal attack Joe Cocker, Wilson Picket soul, Billy Idol rock, through to smooth ballads like Freddie Mercury, Elvis and Country music. I can give your lyric and melody crowd drawing connection, emotive projection and raw power - or it can be gentle and smooth (depends on the song).
I cannot do falsetto screaming rock vocals. I don't like doing Christmas songs. I do not do backing vocals because I improvise, meaning I don't follow other singers exactly, so if you already have a vocal track from another singer and you want a precise cadence match then I will not be able to do a secondary vocal around someone else's singing. If you're looking for a replica of Michael Buble, please contact Michael Buble; same goes for Elvis, etc. I can sing but if I was Elvis I'd be up there on a stage somewhere every night :)
I am told that I can't do wrap so don't ask because I might give it a shot just for fun but I will still expect for you to pay for me spending hours experimenting with something I've never done before. I will never be able to duplicate your song and particularly your lyric cadence precisely - vocals is not an exact science. In fact I rarely duplicate a vocal exactly, I always attempt to add to it, so if you think your song is perfect the way it is then you might not like what I produce for you. Probably should add hip hop to the the wrap thing as well - it just isn't my thing.
Usually I can turn around a vocal recording in 1-5 days. It depends on what time of the day I get it, if it's over a weekend or not, the complexity of the song, how consistent and well put together your backing track is, and if I have to ask questions to get clarification.
I mostly use a Neuman TLM-49 plus a Manley Core Class-A tube amp - this combination gives a male vocal testosterone! Good gear does make a difference.
I can also use a Focusrite Green pre-amp compressor and limiter, which gives a clean and clear signal. This is recorded on this setup:
- Covers Medley
- The Letter
- Lose My Voice
- Every Face I See
