Organic And Tasteful MIDI Drums for $75

Hi! My name is Martin Evans, and I'm a professional drummer originally from the UK but now recording MIDI drums and percussion out of my home studio in Philadelphia, PA. I've been behind a kit for over 30 years and decided in 2020, along with every other musician in the world, to set up a home recording studio. I'm able to provide you with a solid, tasteful MIDI drum part. You're not getting loops or programmed parts - these are professional studio-quality drum parts tracked by a veteran drummer with over 30 years of experience.

For this gig, I'll provide you with a drum part for one song. You'll pay one price and there are no extra charges for revisions, takes, additional percussion, channels used, or whatnot. Custom orders will always be considered.

I've worked mainly in the Pop/Rock field. Still, I'm also well-versed in Country, Prog Rock, Gospel, CCM, Worship, Hard Rock, Funk, R&B, Soul, Singer/Songwriter, Smooth Jazz, Musical Theater, Indie, Fusion... as you can see, I'm willing to turn my hand to most things, but please check with me first as I don't want to waste your money if I'm not a fit for your music.

I use an upgraded Roland TD-27KV kit for tracking. I stay away from the onboard kit sounds, and while I have a large selection of sound libraries to choose from, I mainly use Toontrack's Superior Drummer 3 and its extensive expansions.

Everything starts with a live take, and I treat the whole process as if I were using an acoustic setup. My usual workflow is to discuss what you're looking for, and then I'll track a rough part and send it as a stem for feedback and notes. We'll then work together to nail the part down, and communication throughout will be clear, honest, and open. Finally, once the part is complete, you'll receive the multitrack files along with the MIDI file of the performance should you wish to do your own thing with it.

Audio files are typically sent as 48kHz/24-bit WAV unless specified. The MIDI file is created in Superior Drummer 3 and is compatible with EZDrummer 2. I will include complete MIDI note information if you use a different VST. If you're using either of these Toontrack products I can provide you with the sd3p/ezdp project file as well.

I'll need your guide track/demo recorded to a click to get started. Also, reference tracks for feel/sound ideas can be super helpful.
