My name is Mart Evans. Originally from the UK, I now live and work out of Philadelphia. I’ve been behind the kit for 40 years and doing remote sessions for the last five. During my career I've worked with folks such as Alex Catchings, Henry Louris, Celtic World Orchestra, Tim Renwick (Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton), Steve Donnelly (Sheryl Crow, Nick Lowe), Ruslan Sirota (Chick Corea, Josh Groban), Phil Keaggy, Iain Hornal (ELO, 10cc) and Mike Waldron (Martina McBride, Lee Ann Womack), amongst many others.

My job is to listen to what the music is telling me and shape a part that supports the song without getting in the way. That approach feels at home in rock, pop-rock, indie, Americana, folk, and singer-songwriter material, and carries through into hard rock, prog, and the darker end of post-punk and gothic rock.

You’ll receive the raw MIDI file, plus multitrack audio if required, so you can use my kit sounds or your own samples. The audio can be sent out either mix-ready or completely untouched. I can also provide light hand percussion if the music asks for it.

For audio, I work mainly with Superior Drummer 3 and its many expansions, but also have a large, curated library of drum VSTs such as GGD, Steven Slate, amongst others.
