MIDI: Drums - acoustic and electronic for $50
Whether you're looking for loop-based drums for pop, hyper-quantized rock drums, or "authentic" (cough) jazz drums, MIDI drum programming is a low-cost alternative to finding a skilled drummer, getting them and their drums to your make-shift home studio, setting up a dozen microphones, and ragequitting when your dog won't stop barking the entire time.
Do it the easy way - outsource your drums to MIDI.
Here you can...
-Transcribe live drum performances to MIDI, complete with velocities - done manually by a real musician
-Add MIDI drum performances to your track
-Edit your existing drum MIDI for accuracy or creativity
-Write a practical drum set notation PDF part from your existing MIDI
I use Logic/Garageband for MIDI editing. It is helpful but not mandatory to be compatible here as MIDI is a universal language.
You can request the MIDI be done to the GM layout or that each drum gets its own MIDI track.
