I will record natural live-played MIDI drums for your song for $75
I will perform a natural, musical drum part for your song on my electronic drum kit and deliver a professionally edited MIDI performance, ready to use in your production.
Unlike drums programmed entirely with a mouse, my parts begin as an actual drum performance. This preserves the natural groove, dynamics, fills and interaction between the limbs of a real drummer, while MIDI gives us the flexibility to edit the performance and choose the final drum sound.
I work primarily in Logic Pro and EZdrummer 3 and specialize in rock, indie, Americana, country, pop-rock, prog-rock and singer-songwriter music.
For $75, one song includes:
– live-performed MIDI drum part
– editing and timing cleanup where needed
– velocity and articulation refinement
– musical fills and dynamics
– edited MIDI file
– stereo drum mix
– individual drum stems if required
– up to 2 revisions
I can work from a demo, reference track, programmed drum part or your existing drum ideas. If you already have a drum arrangement, I can follow it closely; if not, I can create a part that supports the song and arrangement.
My priority is not perfect mechanical quantization. It is making the drums feel like a drummer is playing your song.
