My Mixing Journey

I began my mixing journey in 2014, starting with GarageBand and gradually evolving into the professional engineer I am today using Logic Pro X. Over the years, I’ve honed my skills across a wide range of genres—including Afrobeats, R&B, Hip-Hop/Trap, and even Country—allowing me to develop a versatile and creative approach to every project I take on.

With over 56 released tracks under the artist names Mauta Brothers and Tobi Mauta, along with the completion of two full-length albums, an EP, and numerous singles, I’ve gained invaluable hands-on experience that goes far beyond the classroom. I’ve worked through thousands of revisions, edits, and vocal/instrumental takes, which has deepened my understanding of how to craft polished, dynamic mixes that translate across speakers and streaming platforms.

As my toolkit has grown, so has my sound. I’ve worked with interfaces like Focusrite Scarlett, Apogee Duet 2, and studied the UAD Apollo Twin X, continuously pushing myself to achieve professional-quality mixes that stand out. Each project is an opportunity for me to blend technical precision with artistic expression, whether I’m mixing a heartfelt R&B ballad, a hard-hitting trap anthem, or a feel-good Afrobeats track.

I’m passionate about helping artists bring their vision to life, and I approach every mix with fresh ears, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence. My journey is ongoing—and every track I work on is part of that evolution.
