Amongst others I've mixed/produced/co-produced/engineered/remixed The Cure, Tricky, Pnau, David Byrne, Neneh Cherry, Erasure, Cyndi Lauper, The Human League, A-ha, Alison Moyet, Marilyn Manson, The Might Lemon Drops, David Bowie & Mick Jagger, Siouxsie & The Banshees, Robert Plant, The Mission, Marcella Detroit, John Lydon, Yazz, Yazoo, Femi Kuti, Lisa Stansfield, The Chameleons, Depeche Mode, & The Sugarcubes.

I started in a fab studio in west London in the 80s owned by great producers, Clive Langer & Alan Winstanley. I assisted on sessions with great acts like Duran Duran, The Human League, Madness, Asia, Lloyd Cole & The Commotions and graduated to engineer in 1895. Some early credits were for David Bowie on the Absolute Beginners soundtrack and Mick Jagger & Bowie's version of 'Dancing In The Street'.

Some highlights for me would be co-producing/mixing the classic 'Buffalo Stance' which launched Neneh Cherry's career, mixing the radio version of The Cure's 'Lullaby' - my first of many Cure mixes & remixes - the most recent of which is my remix of the song 'A Fragile Thing (the Mark Saunders Heartbroken mix)' Another Cure highlight was mixing 'Lovesong' for the single release which was their highest charting single on the Billboard Top 100 at number 2. I should mention 'Friday I'm In Love' from the 'Wish' album which I mixed in its entirety - it now has over a billion streams on Spotify. I equally love the pure synth pop of Erasure and the epic, dark flanged guitar moodiness of The Cure.

I have a mix room in a converted cowshed on my farm in.the Cotswolds, England. I can record vocals, drums & guitars in there too. I have a great monitoring setup - stereo & 5.1 with 5 Genelec 1031A speakers and a massive Genelec sub. I use Logic Pro - since V1.0 the day it was released in 1994. I use a Universal Audio interface and UA plug-ins in conjunction with Fab Filter, Native Instruments, Arturia, XLN Audio, Reason & other software. I also have original hardware vintage synths like a Roland Juno 106, Kurzweil K2000R, Roland MKS-50, Roland JV2080, Nord Lead 2, Studio Electronics racked original Minimoog. I have great old vintage hardware - API, Telefunken, Neve, John Hardy mic pres & eqs plus Manley and DBX compressors.

I love creative mixing - I'm good at adding musical hooks to songs I'm mixing if required. As a drummer too, I enjoy programming drums and even adding real drums/percussion to projects.
