MIDI files of commercial songs are created by musicians and engineers who are skilled at re-interpreting a song into MIDI form, and it's not a process that can be done automatically. A stereo mp3 file contains only two tracks with multiple instruments mixed down from the original multi-track recording. They cannot be separated into the individual tracks required by the multi-track midi format nor can the mp3 format be accurately converted to midi format.
