SOLO VIOLIN PERFORMANCE, RECORDING & EDITING for $85

I'm a Musician and Music Producer having played violin for 40 years, viola for 15 years and music production for 15 years.

Also, I changed my name at the start of 2025 to Thomas Dalton - it used to be Thomas Sidebottom, and many pieces I've done that are online will be under that name.

The service includes the performance, recording, editing and delivery of one track of solo violin, to a part already written in some form (manuscript/audio of part sung/midi etc.). I can also create a part based on some rough instruction, though this obviously introduces more uncertainty in terms of how satisfied you might be with the final product.

I will focus on editing one part for delivery, but I'm happy to include any extra unedited takes.

I have two violins and one viola - my main violin is Italian and sounds very rich and full. My viola also has a lovely rich tone.

I use two microphones when I record violin - a DPA4099 and a Behringer CB100, both of which are clip on microphones. I also have a Rode NT1. I usually put the DPA mic through my Avalon M5 preamp, and my audio interface is an RME Fireface 400. I record at 24 bit and 48kHz, but I can convert these to different bit rates or sample rates if desired.

In most cases I would be able to turn initial around in one working day provided I don't have another commitment already.
