Solo string quartet including engineering and editing with high quality gear for $500
Hi, I'm Jake. I'm offering string tracks to enhance your great song.
I can create a string quartet with viola and octave violin; take a killer bluegrass fiddle solo; add some fills to your folk song. I can play nearly anything except jazz ... jazz I'm still learning.
I'm 44, and I've been a professional session musician for 32 years. Credits include Josh Ritter, Lori McKenna, Sara Groves, Caspian, David Wilcox, Ellis Paul and many others.
I record into a FLEA 49 microphone, then into a Millennia HV-3 preamp, then into a Lavry converter.
Given the variety of parameters, here's a basic breakdown of pricing -
There is a standard $200 fee meant to cover setup, engineering, editing and teardown, and includes a session performance on one instrument. Additional instruments (either within the same song, or additional songs) are $100/each. Thus a quartet on one song would cost $500 (the initial $200, plus $100/each for second violin, viola and cello); a solo fiddle track on two songs would cost $300; etc.
If you are interested in string arrangements - let's talk. You can hear one of my compositions in the video below.
