I'm an oboe player with 10 years experience freelancing with professional ensembles. I've been featured as a guest artist by the Edmonton Symphony, the Alberta Baroque Ensemble, and Pro Coro Canada. I play any kind of music. When I started freelancing it happened that one of the first groups I played with performed a large number of rock, pop, broadway, and jazz arrangements in their concert series. Although I had not studied these kinds of music I found that I enjoyed playing outside of the repertoire I had studied in school.
