I'm Coen Hamelink, a Dutch trumpet and flugelhorn player with over 20 years of experience on stage and in the studio. I play with Trigg & Gusset, the Amsterdam Funk Orchestra and the Amstel Big Band. I've recorded with artists such as No Ninja Am I, Marten de Paepe, Happy Camper, Feaver, Novack Zatopeks and Cagan Tunali, and I've performed on countless stages, in theatres and on Dutch TV. Comfortable range: E3 to Bb5 (concert pitch), which is F#3 to C6 as written for Bb trumpet. Flugelhorn sounds best up to around G5 concert. Please keep the natural range and character of both instruments in mind when writing parts. I'm happy to advise.
