Reese Morin is a full-time bassist living in San Diego, CA with a background in music from the Berklee College Of Music. The unique sound that he produces is a fusion of a variety of genres as diverse as funk, rock, reggae, and jazz.

Inspired by his brother who had played guitar since he was very young, Reese started playing guitar at the age of 13. He instantly found a passion for the “Pop Punk” genre with artists such as Blink-182 and Green Day. Reese then expanded his musical experience by learning bass guitar. His love for the instrument and everything it offered musically was immediate. As a bass player, Reese gravitated towards bands that were grounded in powerful bass rhythms such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against The Machine, and Iron Maiden. While these bands expanded the palette of genres that inspire his playing, his musical education and approach didn’t end there. Adding to Reese’s original artistic approach is an unexpected influence – Reese is also an accomplished musician in wind ensembles playing both the french horn and trumpet. It is this radical approach to music that has shaped his scope as an artist.

His musical experiences now include full band settings, jazz ensembles, rock ensembles, wind ensembles, orchestras, and musical pit orchestras. Reese has also been a key figure in original rock bands “Safe In Shadows”, “Somewhat Ace”, “Ben.”, “Echoed Silence”, “Alexis”, as well as the cover band “Those Guys”. All of these bands have offered a variety of genres and sounds that have truly shown how fast Reese can switch genres and playing styles. Combined with his knowledge and love for other musical elements, it is no wonder that Reese is noted for his unique sound and stage presence that he commits to every performance. He looks forward to all the performances that are to come and can’t wait to see where music will take him and the audiences he plays for.

Reese Morin proudly endorses Tsunami Cables and GHS Strings.
