I’m Micah Smith, a session drummer based in Louisiana and the musician behind Micah Smith Music.

My playing is rooted in the feel and character of ’60s and ’70s records—from the Beatles and Motown to classic rock, soul, and funk. I love finding the groove, drum tone, and dynamics that give a song its personality.

I record from my own studio using an Apollo interface and Logic Pro. Whether you have a detailed drum reference or need help developing a part, I learn by ear and focus on serving your song. I can provide individual drum tracks for mixing, along with a stereo reference mix.

I’ve worked with independent artists and The Way Back record company, contributing drum recordings and helping develop musical ideas. You can also find my performances across social media under Micah Smith Music.

Send me your demo and tell me what you’re hearing—I’d love to help bring your song to life.
