Emma Steen is a Westchester and NYC-based multi instrumentalist. She has played bass, guitar, keys, drums and sung with numerous bands, including Prosody, The Mother Shipton Prophets’ Guild, Pandafan, Heart’s Story, One Man Vibe Machine, The Belle Curves, zack, Ariana McGinn, and Green Tongue Twist, and has done session work for several solo artists, including Rachel Chevat, Elise Noelle, and Sarah Gross.
Emma specializes in fretless bass, and has been teaching in the NYC Metro area for the past four years. Her projects have been featured in Rochester City Newspaper, TrueFolk TV, and The Music Mermaid Magazine.
Emma has also worked in the Off-Broadway theatre scene for the past six years, doing costume design, stage managing, running sets, sound and lights, and acting with award winning artists such as Judd Hirsch, Jack Hofsiss, Angelina Fiordelisi, Lecy Goranson, Lynn Cohen, Annette O’Toole, and Estelle Parsons.
She is now pursuing a B.M. in Studio Composition and a B.A. in Theatre at SUNY Purchase.
