I am a life long, award winning musician with 19 years of professional performance and recording experience with didgeridoo, voice and synthesizer. I use these instruments to weave influences from Nordic folk and Middle Eastern bellydance and Sufi zikr rhythms with the muted colors of ambient pop atmospheres and earthy textures. Most of the work I’ve done so far has been solo one-person performances and recordings but I have also worked other artists including Mas Munbear from Yamiya, Egyptian table player George Sadak and most recently vocalist Ilka DeGast.
I’ve won compositional awards from Seattle Arts Commission and ASCAP and awards in recording and performance through the Yamaha Corporation. Since one of my biggest goals was to go to college, one of my most proudest moments is when I graduated from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington with a degree in classical composition. I’ve taken this knowledge and applied it to one of the most unexpected instruments, the didgeridoo. It’s been a treat writing and performing with this, connecting with people who are interested in helping to recover ourselves as more wholehearted beings through music, dance and being still and more centered through meditation.
I am currently looking to collaborate and work with more industry professionals to help their projects and to build on my own experience as a session musician. I am interested in projects that are oriented toward healing and recovery of ourselves and our planet.
