Bert Howbi is a composer, singer-songwriter, musician, sound engineer, producer, and mix engineer based in Perth, Australia.

Bert has been working in the music industry for the last 10 years in an array of different areas from teaching to working in a studio. Bert is most recognized for being a Triple J Unearthed High finalist in 2010 with the band ‘Blud’ where they gained notoriety around Australia for their brash attitude and electro-punk sound from their single ‘Sarah is for Lovers’.

Over the past 5 years, Bert has been assembling his craft, blending new knowledge to his stack of skills within Sound Engineering by studying a Bachelor of Music Industry at RMIT to add to his previous Advanced Diploma of Sound Production, classical-operatic singing training, fine-tuning his piano, music theory, public speaking skills in private lessons.

Bert has worked with an array of different artists, including Tim Ayre who has over a million streams on Spotify, members from the band Methyl Ethyl privately, various musicians around Melbourne and Perth producing and mixing and mixing and producing his own music and projects.

Recently moving from Melbourne to Perth, I have set up base at a professional recording studio, focusing on mixing, tracking, and songwriting. Fremantle recording studios is an iconic Perth studio having artists such as Tame Impala, Methyl Ethyl, Shock One, and many other amazing artists floating through at some stage.
