Remote Songwriting Session with Indie Folk, Indie Pop, Pop Songwriter for $182

A two hour session over a video call, where we'll talk about the music you're into, what you want to say and write about, and write or start a song. You'll come away with a voice note and lyrics and chords sheet of whatever we come out with, and you'll have just as much input into the process as me (of course!) allowing you to have fine control over what the song is and sounds like, while still getting help from a professional songwriter who has years of experience working with artists and songwriters. If we haven't finished, I'll offer a 10% discount on your second session.

I'm a London based songwriter and guitarist, and gravitate towards genres like indie, indie folk, indie pop, chamber pop, indie rock, and pop, although I have also written lyrics for songs which have ended up in the iTunes dance charts, so I have a really broad experience. I am always trying to strike a balance between being poetic and unique while still being accessible and not over-intellectual. Likewise, I try and find just the right amount of humour and wit to put into a song without robbing them of their emotional weight. As you can tell, I adore the craft of songwriting, often whipping out a Roget's thesaurus during sessions to find the perfect word to fit the song.

I'm a lover of Belle and Sebastian, Phoebe Bridgers, The Beatles and Lizzy McAlpine. I'm all about organic, classic textures that complement fantastic songwriting, and am delighted that these kind of textures are pulling more into the mainstream with artists like Sabrina Carpenter. Lately I've been enjoying listening to Vulfpeck and Maddison Cunningham, and at the moment am working on injecting fun, humour and upbeat rhythms into music to lighten the load, as all those artists manage to so fantastically.
