Song rewrite/ revision for $75

If you have written a song that needs to be professionally polished, I will rewrite/revise the song to make it as strong as possible from a melodic, lyrical, structural, and genre specific standpoint.
You retain 100% of the writing credits.
NOTE: I will only address melody if you already have a melody.

This gig is for you if you have a complete song that needs professionally tuned up, not as a means to complete an unfinished song.

I will make sure that you have no wasted space in your lyric and your musical elements match your lyric with strong prosody.

I may suggest and write completely new sections for your song, if that is what it needs. You will need to be ok with someone really working over your song. If you are very protective of your lyric, this gig is not for you.

Award winning songwriter with releases and outside cuts. I was named the 2015 AOCS Songwriter of the Year, the 2020 SongDoor International Songwriting Contest's Grand Award Winner, and the 2021 Christian Category winner for the Great American Song Contest.

“"You grabbed me with the opening line and never let go. Your rhymes are fresh; your melody is memorable…This is some seriously exceptional writing and I wish you well-deserved success. Bravo!"” - Jason Blume, International hit writer and SongDoor judge

I’ve pulled James in on multiple re-writes and many more to come, been nothing but pleased with his pro level lyrical vision. Working with him is fluent and easy. One of the many, vital things I’ve learned is that I’m not an expert at everything believe it or not! But truly, James is the first guy I would call in a rewrite situation, HANDS DOWN! His great out of the box thinking and cool consistent methods make him one of the best song lyric polishers in my book! One of my favorites.. "don’t waste real estate!” Curtis Ray - Artist/Producer/Songwriter
Made Me
He Already Knows

It can be super hard to share your songs with another writer for changes or even just constructive criticism because for me at least, they are my babies and I’m super protective of them. But the freedom to let James look at them and know that I wasn’t obligated to keep any changes was what drew me in. However, his suggestions took my song to another level and I’m so thankful I brought him on. He saw it with fresh insight and was able to critique from the lens of a listener and a writer. I’m so glad I was open to his rewrite! He is so encouraging and humble!
