I’ve been writing songs for 30+ years, writing poetry for nearly 30, and producing/making beats for almost 25 years. My strength is taking an idea, emotion, life experience, strange contradiction, or half-finished thought and finding the song hiding inside it.

I write across R&B, Neo-Soul, Hip-Hop, Soul, Afro-influenced music, spoken word, and what I call Forensic Soul—music that examines the evidence life leaves behind and turns it into rhythm, imagery, truth, humor, and healing. However, I can write to any genre.

My writing can be direct and conversational or layered with metaphor, internal rhyme, symbolism, double meanings, psychological depth, and cinematic imagery. The goal is never to make your song sound like me. The goal is to understand what you are trying to say and help it sound like the strongest version of you.

This service includes one original song developed from your concept or story, including song concept/title development, verses, hook/chorus, structure, and bridge when appropriate. I also provide creative direction for flow, emotion, phrasing, and vocal delivery.

I work in Reason and Pro Tools and have independently developed and released multiple albums and singles through Mystic Voyage Music Group, which I founded in 2022.

Included: one complete original song, lyric sheet, song structure, creative/vocal notes where helpful, and up to 2 reasonable revisions.
