Hi there, welcome!

I'm VAYY aka Stephanie Yavelow: recording artist, session vocalist, songwriter, and creator of VAYY Music, based in The Netherlands. Los Angeles is my 2nd home where I've lived and worked for many years. I’ve recorded at studios including Capitol Records and Stagg Street Studio, but my favorite place to record is still my own studio!

My original music can be heard on shows such as As the Crow Flies, Cable Girls (Netflix), Temptation Island, and UFC (ESPN) through Universal Music Publishing & A-List Records, in collaboration with producer Marc Dold (Norah Jones, Peter Gabriel, Nelly Furtado). You’ll also hear my vocals in the games "Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong" & "Guardians of the Wild Sky" (upcoming release in 2026).

My vocal style is ethereal, emotional and a little left-of-center, which works especially well with electronic, ambient, downtempo, and experimental music.

- I record with the Avantone Pro CV-12 tube condenser mic in Logic Pro X
- You'll receive dry vocals + processed vocals (reverb/delay etc.) as WAV + mp3
- 1–3 takes for initial ideas + 2 revisions

Insight into my approach:
- I like to start with a brief video call to discuss your vision, story, lyrics, emotion and direction. You send the instrumental (or I create it if needed).
- I record and send the first take(s).
- You give feedback and I adjust direction if needed.
- I continue recording the next takes implementing your feedback.
- Usually this gets us there! Otherwise an extra revision ensures the final result matches your vision.
