my name is Derek, I am a musician and producer with over 20 years experience. One of my favorite ways to make music is experimenting with ambient textures. Treating sounds like the elements of a scene in a film to help bring your song to life. If you have a song that needs ambient melodies, something unique to make it eerie or beautiful, that is what I am all about. I’ve done work for various projects in the past and I am used to working on tight deadlines.
Artists like Radiohead, Bon Iver, Beach House, Sigur Ros, NIN, Brian Eno, Animal Collective, etc all employ really beautiful, sometimes haunting soundscapes but obviously can all have different styles within that sound.
