I listen for what the song tells me it needs, and then bring that out the best I can. It's not about what I can technically play, it's about what serves the song. Many (maybe even most) times, simpler parts serve the song better. But of course, you are the final judge of whether my playing works for your project.

College music major 5 years, jazz band, countless multiple-genre performing bands. Style honed 12 years on the road, Nashville demo sessions, multiple projects over several years for myself and others in my own and other studios. Extreme grasp of western harmonic theory, and (perhaps more importantly) the way that it is applied in a practical manner.

If you can initially get me something to work on, I will send back a file of the song with keyboard parts that has beeps in it. This lets me give you something you can hear, without me just giving away a potentially usable product. If you should hire me you will of course get a product with no beeps. I don't know of a better way to do it.
