Hi. My name is Kevin Edge, I'm a classically trained pro-composer, musician and producer with over 20 years experience in the industry.

As a classically trained pianist from the age of 7, who then took in jazz, funk, pop, alternative, rock, folk and everything in between, I can deliver a wide range of flavours/grooves/feelings through a piano/organ/Rhodes/synth part. I have played by ear from an early age, and don't need charts.

I place particular emphasis on resonating with what would most benefit each song, playing "less" where that's appropriate, and "more" when needed. I have great sensitivity for harmony and melody, and as I singer-songwriter myself, I understand how "play around the vocal" and other parts in the arrangement, so as not to "trample" on the existing elements and let the song breathe.

I can also arrange and produce strings parts - small ensemble to large scale orchestral strings sections - ask for a custom quote.

I respond very well to vibe guidance from the client, and aim to match their vision as closely as possible, so the part really lifts the song....

I am happy to listen to "reference tracks" if the client feels this would help in guiding the writing/performance of the parts.
