• I have been a professional session drummer/percussionist for over 30 years now, enjoying a versatility and width of experience. My main gig is as drummer with Award winning Irish band Kila and have also played regularly as a full time recording and touring drummer with The Frames, Paul Brady, Bronagh Gallagher, Josh Ritter, Glen Hansard and The Swell Season. I have also jammed or recorded with such luminaries as Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam), Chris Martin (Coldplay), Black Francis (The Pixies), Briana Corrigan ( Beautiful South), Rosanne Cash, Pierce Bros, The Waterboys, and The Corrs.


• I have also been fortunate enough to work with some top producers too including, Steve Albini ( Nirvana & The Pixies), Trevor Horn ( everybody in the 80’s), Brian Eno, Dave Odlum (Tinawarien & Sam Smith), Ruadhri Cushnan (U2, Mumford & Sons ) and Dave Stewart (Eurythmics).

I have played on Oscar Nominated Soundtracks ‘Song Of The Sea’ and also ‘Wolfwalkers’ and have also played on Feature Films such as Sean Penn’s Flag Day movie.


•I produce write and compose for my 'Drums First' songwriting project, Side 4 Collective. I am also co-producing artists


• I am a University Lecturer in drums


• I will endeavour to deliver a drum take within 3 days. I can do a drum track with a conventional approach or do an alternative take with a more creative approach or a unique percussion based track also for the more exploratory songwriters amongst you. These options will help you hear the scope that is possible within the track and we can discuss from there the exact approach you want.
