"I have come to enjoy remote recording over the years as a means of connecting with projects that are not possible to track in the same location. This allows there to be recording all over the globe. For upright bass, I will send corresponding Microphone and Direct signals (off of the pickup). I will perform as many takes as needed until I feel that it is the best performance to present to the client/artist/producer. If needed, I will make a 'comp' track from all of the takes that I think is the best performance. I will also include all of the alternate takes. This gives the client all of the options."
