Bass Sessions - Soul, Pop, Americana, Classic Funk, Roots, and more... for $100

I am a seasoned and versatile electric bassist, and excel in a wide variety of genres, in particular singer-songwriter, soul(neo soul, classic funk), americana, reggae, and roots music. I love laying down classic, timeless bass sounds, finger and pickstyle, with a deep pocket and melodicism, adding to the arc of the song. I am also a composer/producer and craft my bass parts and tone with that sensibility.
Gear includes Fender, Lakland, and Jerry Jones basses, Labella and DR strings, Ampeg and GK amps, Summit Audio and Black Lion mic pres and outboard, Radial DIs, effects by Xotic, EH, JHS and others. I track in Logic and use all manner of software effects and instruments such as Waves, Izotope, NI, U-He and others.
Artists I have worked with include Jeff Trott (Sheryl Crow), Hanni El Khatib, Dead Kennedys, James Hardway, Ras Midas, Jesse DeNatale, Rusty Tinder, Robin Lerner, Counting Crows members, Chuck Prophet, and others. I have laid down bass on recordings with some stellar drummers including Victor Indrizzo, Keith LeBlanc, Joey Waronker, and Satnam Ramgotra, and I have recorded bass on gobs of TV commercials as well as on TV and film scores. Under the name Cordovan I remixed Bob Marley's "One Love" (playing bass on the remix as well) on the first officially sanctioned Bob Marley remix album, "Roots Rock Reggae". Releases featuring my bass playing have been reviewed in Jazz Times, XLR8R, Bass Guitar Magazine, and others.
