For forty years, I have been writing and recording bass lines. I have released songs on my own label, wrote music for TV and taught bass in a music college.
I will record your bass lines using a 1977 Rickenbacker 4001 bass guitar, for that stunning sound that is perfect for punchy, melodic bass riffs. I record direct to an RME Fireface, using three separate signals. The Rickenbacker has a ‘Ric-o-Sound’ stereo output that allows the pick-ups to be recorded separately, so you will be able to mix the bite of the bridge pick up with the bass of the neck pickup. I will also record using an AKG C451 condenser mic’ on the strings, so you can add ambience and string sounds to your mix. All three tracks will give you complete control over your bass sound that will be second to none.
