I’m a professional bassist, multi-instrumentalist and arranger based in Montreal. I approach bass as part of the composition and arrangement — not simply as something that fills the low end.
I love spending time with a song and looking for the bass line that gives it its own identity. That might mean a deep, simple pocket, a melodic counterline, an unusual rhythmic idea, or something more adventurous. I’m always looking for that special angle rather than automatically reaching for the obvious part.
I can record electric 4- or 5-string bass as well as fretless, and I’ll adapt my sound and playing to your production.
