ive worked with a lot of the main songwriters who write for Atlantic i also work at the famous lounge studios in New York city where Solange Knowles records i studied under her Grammy winning engineer for a year before working there
The mixing process is where we take the recording to the next level. While mixing I spend as much time as needed making sure everything blends well with each other and take the recording and polish it up and transform it into a record. The plus side to sending your file in to be mixed as opposed to having an attended session in the studio is that you do not need to be there burning up your budget on studio time and pay a flat rate just for the mix. In this process of online mixing you are sent versions to approve and critique to get it right. My approach to mixing is painting a picture with sounds and to have it translate with the end listeners. Once the mix is approved you will be provided mains,radio edits,performance, and instrumental versions of the song or project.
