Hi! My name is Raphael. I've been playing percussion professionally for close to two decades. I've performed with top Broadway shows (Disney's The Lion King), some of the biggest touring productions in the world (Cirque du Soleil) and some of the biggest names in the New York City Latin music scene (Arturo O'Farrill, Rolando Morales)
My training includes traditional drumming from Cuba, Africa, India and Brazil as well as a Master's Degree in orchestral (classical) music performance. I can provide your tracks with straightforward great feeling grooves, virtuosic percussion breakdowns, orchestral accents, or melodic percussion. It all depends on what your project needs and what can I do help it reach its maximum potential!
I also work as a composer and recently created the entire score to the play 'Tropical Secrets: Holocaust Refugees in Cuba.' Currently streaming on broadway on demand.
