I'm Matthew Kaz, a producer, multi-instrumentalist, and co-owner of NNL Studios in Los Angeles.

I specialize in indie, alternative, psychedelic, electronic, and singer-songwriter music, with a focus on productions that feel organic, distinctive, and human rather than overly polished or generic.

If you have a voice memo, acoustic demo, rough production, or partially finished song, I can help turn it into a fully developed production.

I work from a professional recording studio in Los Angeles with a combination of analog instruments, hardware, and modern production tools.

My instrument collection includes Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer, Hammond organ, upright piano, Moog Sub 25, Prophet Rev2, Oberheim synths, Yamaha DX7, Nord Electro, guitars, bass, and more.

I produce primarily in Ableton Live and work with Universal Audio, Soundtoys, FabFilter, Soothe, Auto-Tune, and other professional production and mixing tools.

HOW IT WORKS

First, send me your current demo or idea along with 2–3 reference tracks and tell me what you want the finished record to feel like.

I'll listen to the song and develop a production direction. From there I'll build the instrumentation, arrangement, textures, and overall sound around your song while keeping you involved in the creative process.

I don't want to simply recreate your reference tracks. The goal is to understand what you respond to about them and build something that feels unique to you.

PLEASE NOTE

This package is for production. Final mixing and mastering can be added separately if you'd like a completely release-ready master.
