Hi, I’m Warren van Wyk, a professional session drummer from South Africa with over 20 years of recording, touring and performing experience.
I’ve recorded well over 1,000 custom drum tracks for artists, songwriters and producers across more than 50 countries. My experience covers rock, pop, indie, country, folk, blues, funk, worship and singer-songwriter music.

My approach is always song-first. I focus on groove, feel, dynamics and musical choices that serve the arrangement. Whether your track needs a powerful rock performance, a deep pocket, a warm organic groove or something subtle and atmospheric, I’ll shape both the part and the drum sound around your vision.

Throughout my career, I’ve toured and recorded with multi-platinum artists. I also built a successful international remote-recording career on another platform, where I previously earned both Pro Verified and Top Rated Seller status through consistent quality and client satisfaction.

After taking a seven-month break and relocating to the South Coast of South Africa, I’m returning to session drumming from a brand-new professional recording studio by the ocean. I record with Yamaha Recording Custom drums, professional studio microphones and high-end preamps. Every session is captured with clarity, depth and flexibility, delivering polished, mix-
ready multitracks that are easy to work with.

Clear communication, reliability and attention to detail are central to every project. Send me your demo, stems, reference tracks and creative direction, and I’ll record professional live drums that bring your song to life.

Let’s create a drum track that sounds and feels right for your music.
