Carlos is a professional musician, composer and producer born in 1994. He began his musical studies at the Conservatory of Ibiza, where he later obtained the Extraordinary Prize for Cello Performance. For years he developed extensive experience as a chamber and orchestra musician, performing in venues such as the Teatro Real, the National Museum of Romanticism, the Sala Kutxa, the Herkulessaal in Munich, the Cadogan Hall and the Barbican Hall in London with orchestras such as the Bilbao BOS Symphony Orchestra, the Euskadi Symphony Orchestra, the Neue Internationale Philarmonie. He obtained the Bachelor in Music Performance at Musikene (Higher Music Center of the Basque Country) under the tutelage of the master Damián Martínez Marco. He continued his training in Madrid with María de Macedo, and later at the Guildhall School of Music in London with Ursula Smith, where he obtained a Master in Music Performance (MMus). He also studied baroque cello and composition at the MDW - Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts. He has recorded cello and composed for various soundtracks, such as “The Plot Point” by Elbio Aparisi Nielsen, premiered in 2019 at Sala BBK the “Zinebi Festival” (Bilbao, Spain), or “125 años con Diario de Ibiza” by Hector Escandell. Also in 2019 he premiered his own chamber music work “Waltz 5.0” with the Edinburgh Quartet in Scotland, and later on he was invited to write a piece (“Chapeaux”) for string orchestra by the Acadèmia 1830. This piece was premiered by the orchestra in 2020 in Palma de Mallorca. Most recently he has been invited to the 2021 and 2022 editions of the Grafenegg Orchestra Academy in Vienna, and is currently recording the new album with Heklos.
