Hi, I’m Tom. I live in London, where I’ve had years of experience playing in the West End, London studios, TV and with bands. I trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and have been recording from my home studio for 7 years, which is continually expanding.

I have performed live and in the studio in almost every genre imaginable – a couple of favourites are Timba (a Cuban style) and early jazz (20s/30s dance bands). As a live performer, I’ve found myself playing mostly in theatre pits. Theatre is one of the most interesting situation to perform in, as its packed with so many different styles of playing, sometimes changing every couple of bars! I also have a very soft spot for baroque trumpet playing (the ones with no valves).

My degree was in classical trumpet playing, so I’ve spent a lot of time playing all of the various denominations of trumpet – piccolo trumpet, cornet, Eb trumpet. When I get the chance, I love to incorporate these into my playing and arranging. They provide so many different colours, especially alongside a whole load of unusual mutes as well.

Feel free to send me a message for more information.
