Trevor Hill is a composer, and performer who Grew up in the Chicago suburbs. Trevor Hill has been pursuing music since the age of 10 when he picked up the clarinet and piano. When Trevor was in High School by his senior year he was in the Glenbrook symphony orchestra and Concert Band on Clarinet, Played Guitar For the School Pep Band, Tuba in Marching Band, And Tenor Saxophone in the Jazz Band, And was the Second Student in Glenbrook South High School 50 years To Compose and arrange a piece for concert band titled lost in the adventure at the age of 18.
At College of Dupage, Trevor Hill Wrote and Performed Several Of His Compositions and was even commissioned by the head of the Jazz Department to arrange a euphonium feature on Duke Ellington’s compositions “Squeeze Me”. When Trevor Brought his arrangement of Gerudo valley to the Elmhurst college jazz fest, Trombonist Andy Martin said “we haven’t heard anything like this all week” and won two awards for his performance and arrangement.
By The time he Transferred to Elmhurst University Trevor Was in Frank Caruso’s Jazz Combo, Studied jazz Saxophone With Mark Colby, and then made it into the world renowned Elmhurst College Jazz Band and toured with Doc Severenson in Ohio. And By 2017 Trevor Was Touring Europe at Festivals Such as Umbria, Montreux, Bohemian and the North Sea Jazz Fest. By 2018 Trevor Hill Has Shared the Stage on Saxophone With Such Greats as Dee Dee Bridgewater, Bobby Shew, Sean Jones, Matt Wilson, Mark Colby, Frank Caruso, Ryan Truesdell, Jiggs Wigham, Dennis Deblasio, John Pizzarilli and Aron Serfaty.
During His Time at Elmhurst, He Accompanied piano in the Vocal Jazz Group, Played Clarinet in Concert Band, Played Tenor Sax, Flute, Clarient, And Soprano Sax In the Jazz Band. And won the Schools Composition Contest in 2015, Trevor wrote a composition on the 100 year anversary For his Work Titled The Red Soil after the poem by Arminian Poet Danel Varoujan who was a Victium of the Arminian genocide.
Trevor Hill Currently is a resident in Naperville Illinois and teaches privately from online or in person. Trevor also can record from home, write and arrange compositions, and perform parts on Flute, Clarinet, Soprano Sax, Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Piano and many more. He Also Teaches Music Theory. Trevor has Performed in Chicago at such places as Andy’s Jazz Club , The Jazz Showcase, and at the Fulton Street Collective.
