If you're looking for the warm, melodic bass sounds of the 1960s and 1970s, I'd love to help bring them to your music.

I've been playing music since the 1970s, when my father first taught me guitar and drums. Since then, I've spent decades recording, producing, writing songs, and performing live on bass and guitar. I've released my own original music and produced and performed on recording projects for other artists.

My bass playing is primarily influenced by Paul McCartney, whose melodic, inventive approach to the instrument has shaped my playing since I first began learning his bass lines by ear. I also admire the work of Dee Murray, John Paul Jones, and Carol Kaye. I specialize in the classic sound of a pick on flatwound strings, with an emphasis on melody, feel, and serving the song.

When I approach a recording, I listen to the entire arrangement, particularly the relationship between the bass drum and the other instruments. I like to find the right space for the bass, often starting with a simple foundation and developing a more melodic part as the song progresses.

I especially enjoy working on original material with fresh ears, developing a bass line that complements the artist's vision. Whether you have a specific direction or want to give me creative freedom, my goal is always to make your song better.

My bass collection includes Höfner Club and 500/1 basses, a Rickenbacker 4003, Fender Precision Basses, a Fender Bass VI, and a Phantom Teardrop bass. You're welcome to request a particular instrument for your project.

I record in Logic Pro and can provide clean DI tracks, processed/amped tracks, or both, depending on your needs.

Beyond bass, I also offer electric and acoustic guitar, vintage-style keyboards, arranging, and production services. I'm particularly fond of the classic Mellotron sounds of the 1960s and 1970s, including its distinctive flutes, strings, and choirs. Using my M-Tron Pro software, I can bring those unmistakable textures to your recordings, along with Hammond B3, Wurlitzer, piano, and other vintage keyboard sounds.

My 30+ years in professional television production have also taught me the importance of clear communication, creative collaboration, and meeting deadlines.
