Hi,
my name is Cody Coombs and I play Pedal Steel, Dobro and a rockin’ Lap Steel! I’m interested in all genres ranging from classic country, Americana, blues, rock, and whatever else I get thrown at me. My goal as a musician is to find any way to fit my playing into the song the best way possible and to bring that little extra flavor and color that the steel has to offer. My equipment for recording is a ‘75 Sho~Bud, and a newer Mullen D10 for pedal steel. An 8 string Beard Squareneck Dobro and a 6 string Beard Squareneck Dobro. An Asher 6 String Lapsteel. My amps for using a microphone are a Nashville 400 for the older sound, and a Quilter amp for the newer modern sound. For going Direct in I will run an amp modeler with IR speakers. And many effects for those songs that get a little wild! I do all of my recording from home through Logic Pro.
